Goosander: The female is still present in area 26.
Siskin: 3 birds flew NE at 10.15am.
Stock Dove: 26 birds feeding in areas 24 & 25.
Green Woodpecker: A pair feeding in the goose pen, area 25.

Thanks for the info, the yellow legged gull visits probably every day possibly feeds in the zoo.
The peregrine has been seen in the area and is probably checking out the suitability of last years nest site.
The swans on the lake are actually Whoopers,they have the triangular yellow patch on the bill rather than a yellow egg shaped patch. On the main lake the genine wild waterfowl are Tufted, Pochard, Shoveler, Gadwall and Ruddy Duck. The scarcer duck are normally found between the chained off island and the Holme. These are normally Wigeon and Teal, though this year the goosander spent alot of the time sleeping here. There are sometimes up to 3or 4 feral Pintail and a small group of Red Crested Pochards.
