Water Rail (adult)
Water Rail: The bird showed well around lunchtime in area 2.
Redwing: 12 birds flew west at 8.00am, other birds were heard calling from inside the grounds of the Holme, area 7.
Goldfinch: The small charm are still present in and around areas 24 and 25.
Ring-necked Parakeet: 1 bird was seen in area 24.
Tawny Owl: 1 bird roosting in ivy in area 29.
Great crested Grebe: One pair are almost in summer plumage and have been attacking one of the other winter plumaged birds.
Grey Heron: 22 nest had birds defending them. Some birds will probably have laid eggs already due to the mild weather.
