Blackcap: 1 male singing from within the grounds of the Holme, area 13.
Chiffchaff: 3 birds singing from areas 1, 7 and 29.
Redwing: 14 birds flew north at 11.40am.

The Mandarins have been examining several of the nearby trees looking for nest sites.

A wren is building a nest under the roof of the duck ID board next to the long bridge. Looks quite advanced. I plan to stop there tomorrow morning on my RSPB walk around the park. Fingers crossed the water rail will put in an appearance.
