Whinchat male in area 25.

A shy female Tawny Owl.

These birds showed well to those who attended the London Natural History bird walk that I lead.


Tree Pipit: One was flushed from the wetland, area 25. It then flew to various trees before settling down and then beginning to sing at 10.30pm.
Whinchat: A male was seen at the same time as the above.
Sedge Warbler: 1 was feeding in an Oak Tree in area 1, before flying off.
Willow Warbler: 1 singing in area 9.
Chiffchaff: A pair in area 29 were nest building.
Sand Martin: 1 was above the lake.
House Martin: 2 were above the lake.
Tawny Owl: The pair were in area 29.
Blackcap: Males were singing in most areas of the park.
