3rd July

One to go
One found in the long grass
Positioned safely out of harms way?

Kestrel: 3 juveniles have fledged, 1 was rescued from long grass. The others could not be located, though 1 was thought to be on the roof of Barrow Hill reservoir.
Common Tern: 3 birds were again present, allowing really good close views especially when they fished over the lake by Clarence Gate(north end of Baker Street). Sometimes they flew amongst the local feral pigeons, showing how elegant they are to those scruffy flying rats.
Grey Wagtail: 1 flew along the canal at 8.50am.
Long-tailed Tit: At least 46 were seen as we carried out our twice monthly bird survey.
Chiffchaff: 2 males sang from areas 29 and 31.
Reed Bunting: The male in area 2 is still singing, but know young have been seen yet.
