Here is a little tester for some of you to identify.
Yesterday and today were very similar in the species of birds seen. If the wind should swing around then we could see our first Woodcock of the autumn, as this is peek passage time for this species.
Today:
Skylark: 1 flew west at 9.10am.
Redwing: 28 flew west in small flocks, though birds were heard flying over from 5.30am.
Siskin: 2 singles flew over.
Chaffinch: small flocks headed west, total number of birds seen 60.
Kingfisher: 2 birds were calling in area 26.
Jackdaw: A flock of 6 flew east at 8.50am.
