This Northern Wheatear was seen to fly in off the sea and land on these rocks on the beach.
Common Seals on Horsey Beach
The Smew above may have departed as it wasn't seen today, the Greater Scaup below turned up in 1997 and has been with the collections Scaup eversince.
Sorry the site has been quiet for the last few days, I had to pop up to Norfolk.
When I did manage to get out and do some birding, there wan't much on the move.
Highlights were superb views of female Hen Harrier and Peregrine, summer plumaged R T Divers, Swallow, Black Redstart(in garden), and a couple of Wheatears.
Yesterday in the park;
Woodcock: One was flushed from amongst dafodils in area 10 at 6.10am.
Hawfinch: One flew south at 6.40am.
Willow Warbler: Two birds were singing from area 2 and 12.
Meadow Pipit: Three flew north.
Today in the park;
Woodcock: One was flushed from the leaf yard wood, area 29. It did a quick circuit before dropping back in again.
Peregrine Falcon: A very high male came in from the north at 1.00pm
Sparrowhawk: Five birds were seen, three very high single birds headed west and were thought to be passage birds.
White Wagtail: One flew west at 8.05.
Song Thrush: Two birds flew high to the NE, possible departing winter visitors.
Willow Warbler:Eight birds singing, with three in area 29.
Chiffchaff: Two birds singing.
Blackcap: Three males singing.
Linnet: One flew north-west.

Comments
Great pics once again.
Is the bird walk on for the 12th.
The collard doves have not been seen for a while but a pair of green woodpeckkers have been calling from the gardens at the back of mine.
Hope to see you Sunday
Glen
I left a message on your Blog on the 24th of March about wanting to go on the bird walk on the 12th of April. I have not had a reply so wanted to make sure that it was still on and that my name was down as coming.
Cheers
