A fairly quiet bird walk with a sprinkling of migrants dotted around, again the key was finding the tit flocks.
Garganey: the drake flew into area 1 at 6.30am.
Sparrowhawk & Kestrel: Two birds were seen soaring together above the park, with the latter species being the aggressor.
Treecreeper: I was very surprised to see one of these climbing a dead elm in the company of a mixed tit flock. The last record was about four years ago.
Common Whitethroat: singles in area 24 and 30.
Blackcap: several birds seen in areas with blackberries.
Willow Warbler: four birds at least.
Chiffchaff: three birds singing.
