Merry Christmas! A stroll from 1430-1600 on 25th produced: 25+ Redwing feeding on the berries by the golf/tennis school - a lovely sight! Water Rails showing well in the ditch. 1 Redwing in Area 24.
New Year's Day stroll: 6 Long-tailed Tit flocks: 4 birds at Area 29, 4 birds between Areas 29 and 1, 6 birds Area 2, 4 birds W end of Long Bridge, 7 birds at E end of Long Bridge, 3 birds at E end of wetland area. Goldcrest - the only one! - with the 7 bird flock. 1 Male Sparrowhawk being chased by crows Area 29/30, 1 Female being mobbed high over Area 24/25. Water Rail showing well at normal location
