A very quiet day turned much better during the late afternoon. With a warm southerly bringing some early migrants over the park.
Bar-tailed Godwit: Four birds flew east at 4.20pm.
Hobby: One flew east at 4.17pm, as I was following this through my bins it passed close by the godwits.
Sand Martin: Four birds were over the open spaces at 4.10pm, but were driven off when an immature gull started harassing them.
Chiffchaff: Three birds present, one in area 25 and two in area 29.
Water Rail: At least one still present in the rail ditch.
Woodcock: One flew just above tree height heading north at 5.55am.
