Hobby: an adult flew in from the SW at 7.45am and circled for a few minutes before moving off towards Brent Res.

Swift: Twelve birds were over the lake just after the Hobby had flown through.

Lesser Whitethroat: 2 cracking looking birds were in the grounds of the old golf/tennis school, area 39.

Garden Warbler: One was in area 39 and three were in area 40.

Common Whitethroat: two were in area 31.

Blackcap: most bramble patches had birds in them.

Willow Warbler/Chiffchaff: numbers were much down on last weeks figures.

Last Friday myself and two other members of the London Peregrine Partnership popped down to Sutton. The aim of the visit was to clean up prey remains from a building adjacent to the one that the Peregrines breed on. We were very grateful to the owners of the building for allowing us to see what these birds had been feeding on. Some of the remains were possibly several years old, but the exercise was well worth it, as the pictures below will show. Although the expected rain held off the sky was overcast, so the few pictures that I took of the family were not as good as the one’s that I took on my last visit to the site(checkout the link to my galleries).
