The overnight rain had cleared London by dawn leaving a fairly dry but blustery day. The winds have now veered to the south-west, not really the best direction for bring birds into the park.
Common Buzzard: one came in low from the NW at 1.25pm, regained some height and departed to the SW.
Collared Dove: one flew east at 7.10am.
Grey Wagtail: three birds were seen.
Spotted Flycatcher: one was in area 30 this morning.
Common Whitethroat: two calling from the long grass n area 40.
Chiffchaff: six birds were around.
A flock of eighteen very high flying Cormorants came in from the west, thermaled for a while before heading off east.
A Cormorant on the lake preferred to air his wings rather than join the flock.
