Still a bit quiet, most of the migrants will have now reached their breeding grounds. If we happened to have an easterly air-flow, then we might get a few late birds.
The sports pitches sprinkler system has been starved of water lately due to the bedding plants and the lake needing it more. We have now been able to start watering again, giving the local House Martins the chance to collect mud and grass for their nests.
