House Martin: 26 were over the lake at 7.50am.

Yellow Wagtail: 2 singles flew SW.

Grey Wagtail: one local bird and 2 passage birds.

Meadow Pipit: 30 flew through, with more heard than seen due to the clear blue skies, which makes it really hard to pick birds up.

Spotted Flycatcher: 2 birds were in the Lime trees just west of area 39.

Chiffchaff: birds were seen around the park.

Blackcap: as with the above species, birds were around most suitable locations.

Jackdaw: one was perched in area 1 at 10.30am.

Sad to see all the swallow's leaving.
It is sad, but as you can see today, it can be quite a spectacle, particularly for us in Central London

Absolutely.
I watched 250+ pass over near to where I live in Harrow the other day. plus, it gives us something to look forward to next year!!!
I always look forward to the following year, normally we find that something that was once a regular bird doesn't show up. This year we haven't had a Turtle Dove.
