20th February

No sign of the Smew today, it could be due to work going on in the areas that the bird favours.

Bushy Park

Lesser Spotted Woodpecker: a male was in Willows just south of the Canal Plantation.

Redwing: 50+ dotted about the western half of the park.

Fieldfare: 7 birds in the Woodland Gardens.

Lucky man....LSW extinct in our neck of the woods of North Lancashire.

I'm certain to become a daily visitor to your blog, I had no idea - an reckon many others won't have had either - that Regents Park was such a Mecca for birds.

Keep up the good work Tony.

Lovely photos and well done on catching a rare moment with a LSW.
Linda

I try to make life as easy as possible for those that are interested.
I haven't seen a LSW for a while, mind you I haven't tried. I remember back in the 70's and early 80's just bumping into them. Times have truly changed and unlikely to get much better.
