Smew: the drake is still present, but possibly becoming a bit more flighty.
Wigeon: at least one pair still present.
Common Teal: six still present in area 32.

Bushy Park
Lesser Spotted Woodpecker: one flew across the Upper Lodge Road.
Common Crossbill: a very vocal bird flew west at 8.00am.
Siskin: a flock of 60 flew into the Woodland Garden.
Bullfinch: 3 females were in the Round Plantation
Reed Bunting: 3 males were singing, 2 by the Leg of Mutton Pond and another in the Brew House Field.
Stonechat: a pair were by the scrape in the Brew House Field, viewed from by the Longford River.
Fieldfare: 17 were in the paddocks.
Redwing: 24 were in the Woodland Garden.
Skylark: 6 birds were present, with 3 males singing.
Meadow Pipit: 8 birds were east of the lakes.
Common Buzzard: showed well over the western side of the park, above the Longford River.
Common Snipe: a bird was viewable on the Scrape from the path by the Longford River.
Common Teal: 7 were on the scrape and nearby ponds.

So I wonder why the Stonechat should be rare in Regents Park yet not so in Bushy.
Your dedication to this area is to be commended Tony.
The park has very few areas that would appeal to either Stonechat or Whinchat. These areas are small and really suffer from disturbance by people and dogs. If you look at the map at the top right-handside of the page, you will see photos of birds and some of the habitats that they were found.
It was a good day in the end, though first thing was a bit gloomy and a couple of birds went begging. However there is always another day.
