Regent’s Park
A day with a couple of our more special visitors showed well today for a lucky few. Unfortunately work commitments made looking for them a bit of a rush for me and I missed them. But well done “Birdman Euston” for finding a lifer(Common Redstart).
Common Swift: 30 plus flew west at 7.00pm.
House Martin: apart from the one that has been seen daily since last weekend a few very high martins headed west with the above.
Barn Swallow: 2 birds flew west at 6.00pm.
Northern Wheatear: a male and female were seen the female present all day and the male turning up this evening.
Common Redstart: a female was found in a Gorse bush in area 36 at 7.50am staying there until moving on to the island in area 36.
Firecrest: a male was found in the Leaf Yard Wood, area 40 this afternoon.
Taken yesterday, this is a second owlet also found close to area 31.
Bushy Park
Hobby: one shot through at 12.00pm.
Common Swift: three birds flew west.
Common Whitethroat: four males were alongside the Longford River.
