Not much to report from Regent’s Park, except the unhappy news that the Reed Buntings had their eggs predated on by crows.
This Grey Heron was mobbed by crows whenever it brought food to the nest. But once it had fed the young the mobbing ceased. Nest building is still on going for some birds.
The Mute Swan on the main part of the lake is still being very stroppy.
The male Grey Wagtail was busy collecting insects near the Bandstand.
Bushy Park
I took Sally (my wife) to the park this morning to show her how pleasant and attractive the park is. She was very impressed with it, and enjoyed a tasty bacon roll at the Diana car park. I then checked on the swans at the fountain to see how their 2 day old cygnets were getting along. They all seemed fine, with the cob being very aggressive if any dog approached the pond.
