Regent’s Park

Common Shelduck: pair possibly nesting on the Bandstand Island, area 7.

Great Black-backed Gull: a 3rd summer birds flew east at 6.40am.

Yellow-legged Gull: an adult and 2nd summer were present.

Common Sandpiper: after hearing what I thought was a distant common sand an hour later a bird flew from area 7 across to area 8.

Grey Wagtail: a pair were collecting food and flying off towards Baker Street.

Reed Warbler: 3 males were singing.

Common Whitethroat: 3 birds were seen, a male in area 31 and a pair in area 39.

Chiffchaff: 5 males were singing, probably because they had all reared their first broods.

A pair of Blackcaps visit the bird bath in my garden, to conserve water the bathe together.
