Swallows and Martins start to move.

Regent’s Park:

Barn Swallow: 150 flew south between 9.45am and 10.00am.

House Martin: 40 flew south.

Spotted Flycatcher: one in St Johns Lodge Gardens, area 30.

There are still a few Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps around.

Bushy Park

Common Buzzard: one flew low SW over my office at 2.05pm.

Barn Swallow: 250 in small flocks flew SE between 8.30am and 9.30am at a great height.

House Martin: 100 flew SE at the same time as the above, but at a slightly lower altitude.

Meadow Pipit: 24 were in the paddocks and a further 6 were feeding just south of the Leg of Mutton Pond.

Yellow Wagtail: the three birds were again in the paddocks.

White Wagtail: at least four were also in the paddocks.

Pied Wagtail: thirty-six in the above area.

The Black rump is clearly visible on the Pied Wagtail, the White Wags have a grey rump.

Spotted Flycatcher 1 (W end of St John's Lodge garden at 11:10).

Meadow Pipit 36 (incl. flock of 25 S at 09:20; one landed briefly on rugby pitch near area 41 at 08:50).

Swallow 38 (most before 10:00, when SW wind strengthened and clouds thickened).

House Martin 43 (ditto).

Blackcap 5 (areas 10, 17 and 41).

Chiffchaff 6.
