5th September

Not really a great deal of difference in the birds in either Regent’s or Bushy Parks with this exception.

Tree Pipit: one was found in a tree on Primrose Hill. It is important to remember that Meadow Pipits will also perch in small trees, particularly when on migration.

Northern Wheatear: there were two northern and one Greenland race birds present this afternoon.

I had a day spent mainly in the office and only managed to grab a few photos.

Thanks for posting the Wheatear pics, Tony. The difference in posture between the 'Greenland' race bird (which looks a lot like the first bird I found two days ago) and the two 'Northerners' (which were the ones I found early this afternoon) is striking.
The Hobby's are a bit frustrating as there is only a small window amongst trees that the birds pass over, otherwise they are a long way off.
