Regent’s Park

Water Rail: the bird is still present and frequenting the most recently planted area.

Bushy Park

Unfortunately there was no sign of the Bittern in the area it was seen yesterday. I am just waiting to be shown the photos of the bird just to rub salt into the wounds. Only joking I am just pleased that the finder got such a buzz from seeing the bird.

Little Egret: the bird was seen several times today in the area of Roaring Arch and the streams in the Woodland Gardens.

Redwing: a flock at least 50 were feeding on the ground at the northern end of Chestnut Avenue.

Fieldfare: 3 birds were in the Paddocks.

Siskin: 25 were in trees on the west side of the Woodland Gardens.

Chiffchaff: 1 or 2 birds were calling up by the Waterhouse Garden.

Rubbish photo of the Little Egret, flushed by a speeding contractors vehicle before I could close to it.

No luck for me either. If you get the chance, please post the Bittern shots up here for me to drool over too.
Knowing John he has exaggerated the quality and it will end up being the size of a sparrow. The bird was in the field I mentioned and would have been visible through the fence by the south western gate
