Regent’s Park & Bushy Park
There was a mass clear out over night of most of yesterdays migrants from Regent’s and Bushy Parks. There was a slight swapping of species seen in these parks today with me connecting with a Common Redstart in Bushy and 3 Wheatears turning up on the Open Spaces in Regent’s Park. In general there was the same species still present in the parks but in far smaller numbers. In Bushy Park there was still a t least 6 Wheatears in the Upper Lodge Road area. While a Fieldfare was feeding in the Brew House Field. The redstart was in a hedge surrounding the gymkhana field, the same hedge I saw a bird in last year.
Here are some photos from yesterday and today.
These 3 Buzzards flew through within 3 minutes of each other.
The Long-tailed Tit is now lining the nest.
This Comma seen yesterday was the first butterfly of the year.
