Bushy Park
The strong SW wind is not the best for pushing birds our way. It was a case of looking in the warmer sheltered spots in the hope of finding something of interest.
Common Shelduck: still only one pair present and again favouring the flooded area.
Swallow: apart from the 3 in the Stockyard another bird flew over Heron Pond.
House Martin: one flew over the Stockyard.
Northern Wheatear: five birds on the area south of Oval Plantation.
Common Whitethroat: two in the area between the Longford River and the Scrape.
Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff numbers have dropped a little.
I only posted this because it looked a bit “arty”
Two of the five Wheatears that were present in the Skylark breeding zone.
This Mistle Thrush is feeding some young close to Roaring Arch.
We were treated to a fly past this morning.
