I didn’t really get much time to bird today as I had a couple of meetings to attend and work to type up. The blustery conditions were not that favourable for migrants apart from Swifts and hirundines. If you looked upwards in Bushy Park you would always see some and when I popped into Regent’s Park this afternoon there were at least 30 Swifts, 18 House Martins and a couple of Sand Martins.
I had to attend a meeting this morning to see whether or not the local Peregrines were nesting. I came to the conclusion that they hadn’t bred as both birds could be seen sat up on two different buildings.
Later on the male bird was over the park.
This Wood Duck flew over the Stockyard early this morning.
