Another quiet day.
Red crested Pochard: 18 birds on Heron Pond.
Water Rail: It was chased into the Bulrushes by 2 Moorhens.
Grey Wagtail: 2 were in the Welcome Centre car park.
Redwing: 14 flew towards the Canal Plantation.
Chiffchaff: one was in the bracken south of the Leg of Mutton Pond.
Starling: a flock of passage birds flew west.
Viewed from Dukes Head Passage; the Water Rail has just disappeared into cover.
The cob returns after chasing off another intruder.
The hybrid aythya was on Heron Pond
