Regent’s Park
This years first entry isn’t that exciting, no megas, scarcities or over-wintering Firecrests. It was just a short stroll to the cafe in Queen Mary’s Gardens with my wife for coffee and cakes. These are the few birds seen on the way.
Tawny Owl: still present and enjoying a dry day in the Willow tree near Longbridge, area 35.
Great spotted Woodpecker: 2 drumming males.
Green Woodpecker: the male was showing very well on the grass nearest the cafe, area 19.
Redwing: several birds seen including some feeding on berries near St Marks Bridge.
Goldcrest: 4 birds near the Rose Wheel in Queen Mary’s Gardens.
