Bushy Park

Red Kite: one flew very high NE over the Paddocks at 1.20pm.

Common Buzzard: 3 very high soaring birds over the Paddocks drifted west at 1.15pm. I feel that this group didn’t include our resident bird.

Kingfisher: a pair followed the river through the Woodland Gardens.

Redwing: 20+ along the western boundary.

Chiffchaff: 2 in the Woodland Gardens.

There were a few more butterflies on the wing today, consisting of Peacocks, Small Tortoiseshells, Brimstones, Commas and Large Whites.

Regent’s Park:

Wigeon: briefly on the main lake.

Woodcock: one flushed from just outside area 40.

Yellow-legged Gull: adult was on the main lake.

Blackcap: at least 2 males present.

Chiffchaff: a quiet bird in the Leaf Yard Wood, area 41.
