Regent’s Park
Nothing much has changed in Regent’s, just to show how frustrating birding is a Red-backed Shrike was in Bushy Park yesterday in an area that I walk through daily. It didn’t hang around long enough for anyone but the finder to see.
Green Woodpeckers were very vocal this morning, at least 6 males were seen and heard. The one below was in my garden well almost , I’d cut my front lawn yesterday so it hopped over the herbaceous border and into next door.
Apart from a few garden snaps I did pop over to the Wetland Pen.
The female looks to be sitting quite high in the box, which suggest that the eggs have or are hatching.
Not being used to seeing people, birds in the Wetland Pen tend to be hard to approach.
