21st June

Regent’s Park

The mid summers day, and a bit to hot. Reed Warblers are feeding young in at least 3 of the reed beds as well as the Wetland Pen.

I tried to see how many young were in the Kestrel box early this morning but even though the sun was fairly high in the sky the nest box was in shade when I left to go shopping. I returned in the afternoon and after a bit of a wait I finally established that there were 5 chicks in the box. However I could be proved wrong.
