Regent’s Park
Tawny Owl: three owlets have been seen in Queen Mary’s Gardens in recent days.
Kestrel: all 5 possibly six young have all taken their first maiden flights, one had to be rescued after coming to ground on the island.
At 7.30am this was the last bird in the box, by 2.30pm he was being rescued.
The juveniles at present are using the trees in area 32 and 33 to shelter in. They do come under attack from Crows, Magpies and Jays, however their dad is doing a wonderful job in protecting them.
This male Blackbird gets distressed having 7 or 8 falcons in his area.
