Richmond Park
Gadwall: a male circling Pen Ponds.
Hobby: male seen twice over the Paddocks.
Kestrel: 3 different birds.
Sparrowhawk: 2 males and 1 female.
Yellow Wagtail: 3 birds 2 possibly roosted on the bracken in Lawn Field.
Stonechat: 3 birds were on Lawn Fields.
Whinchat: 2 singles, 1 in the Paddocks and another still on Lawn Field.
Common Redstart: the female was still in the Paddocks.
Common Whitethroat: 9 in the Paddock area and 2 in the bracken on Lawn Field.
Blackcap: 4 in the Paddock area.
Willow Warbler: 8 in the Holly Lodge area.
Chiffchaff: 7 also in the Holly Lodge area.
Goldfinch: 12 feeding on birches by the riding ring.
This is surely the best way to start the day.
Kestrel and Hobby were both in the sky above the park today.
This could be the last Swallow family of the year.
Roosting Yellow Wagtails on the bracken.
This Redstart can be quite mobile within the Paddock area.
