Regent’s Park

I spent today here today assisting my old colleague and counting waterfowl.

There were a couple of species seen that are worth reporting.

Redwing: at least 75 birds headed west in small flocks, some had clearly roosted overnight.

Chiffchaff: one was in area 33.

Lesser Redpoll: 2 flew east over the Cricket Pen.

Reed Bunting: at least one bird was feeding in the reed bed in area 2 just west of the rail ditch.

Wood Pigeon: 140 headed north-east.

Jackdaw: one was on the Bandstand Island, area 7.
