Regent’s Park

Nothing out of the ordinary to report, waterfowl are declining, the Black-headed Gull numbers are at a peak but they will nearly all be gone in a couple of weeks time.

Below are a few photos from today, there are three showing 3 pairs of Herons at differing stages in their breeding cycles.

The Herring Gull must have had a night on the town, it yawned several times while it sat opposite me.

Last years female was joined by one of her daughters from last year. I say that because there wasn’t any aggression just some calling.

Great photos as always.... l had seen the two female kestrels and was wondering why they were together..... Surely she should be chasing her daughter away soon.
