27th March

Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens

The three main characters; Cetti’s Warbler, Goldeneye and Scaup are still present. They were joined by at least 3 Chiffchaffs but not much else. I did here a Little Owl calling from a tree’s just east of the island on the Serpentine.

Regent’s Park

There was little difference in the cast members here, 2 Chiffchaffs were singing, 12 Meadow Pipits flew north. Thankfully the Black-headed Gulls have now nearly all gone, which means the ornamental waterfowl will be able to feed in piece until July.

Mute Swans were frequently on the wing in both Hyde and Regent’s Park.
