Kensington Gardens
Scaup: 1st winter drake still present on the Serpentine near the Diana Fountain.
Water Rail: a very vocal bird was in the reed bed close to the Cetti’s Warbler.
Cetti’s Warbler: not the easiest bird to see, in fact it was bloody difficult.
Regent’s Park
Little Grebe: 3 birds were on the main lake and quite vocal.
Heron: A nest in the Chestnut tree on Heron Island (not the Bandstand Island) had young calling from within it. Another nest has been started on area 7.
Shoveler: 9 birds were on the edge of area 7.
