Regent’s Park
A fairly quiet day, the Stonechats had departed overnight.
Water Rail: one was reported in the rail ditch in area 2. Since the early 2000’s this area had been attracted up to 3 birds during the winter period. However none were recorded during the winter of 2013-14 so it is good to see that it has attracted another. The reed bed had been enlarged in 2011 making it more difficult to see birds if they kept away from the ditch.
