Regent’s Park
After Fridays Stonechats another sign that spring was on the way was heard today.
Chiffchaff: one was calling and showing in the grounds of The Holme, area 10.
Jackdaw: 4 singles were seen today, flying in a north-easterly direction.
Yellow-legged Gull: 1st summer was briefly on a post on the lake at 9.10am.
Gadwall: 9 were on the lake.
Shoveler: 16 were on the lake.
Little Grebe: 3 on the main lake.
Great crested Grebe: 3 were on the lake, a pair and a male.
This is something you shouldn’t do if you come to the park.Feeding Herons bread and other processed foods is bad for them and certainly their young.
Who’s taking off?
