Regent’s Park
I was only in the park for a short time this afternoon but that was long enough to see:
Peregrine Falcon: I just missed a pair catch a Feral Pigeon high above the Boat House. They then did some aerial acrobatics where the male tried to persuade the female to hand (talon) over the prey. She wasn’t feeling very generous, eventually they drifted off northwards.
Scaup: the drake is still present.
Reed Warbler: 2 males singing from area 5 and 35.
Sedge Warbler: at least 2 males and what looked like 2 birds showing signs of courting.
