Hobby: one flew west at 10.15am.
Cuckoo: one flew over the Scrape and into the paddock area.
Swift: 6 were in the sky above the park.
Swallow: 12 around the park.
Cetti’s Warbler: the male is still present and trying hard to attract a mate.
Reed Warbler: 5 males were singing from reed beds in the Brew House area.
Common Whitethroat: 6 males singing around the park.
Blackcap and Chiffchaff: can also be heard around the park.
I didn’t have much time to bird Regent’s Park today but did go and check the Great crested Grebes on the Bandstand Island.
After trying to choke the young with a large fish, he then gives them a feather to swallow.
