Norfolk
I have spent the last 4 days up in Norfolk, the weather was great if you wanted to get out and about. It was however not ideal for passage migrants apart maybe for waders. Below are a few photos that I managed to take with my new Nikon D810.
I had a touch of luck while sitting in when a female Marsh Harrier quartering outside the NNT Wardens home decided to head my way.
The day before before the sun had risen above the clouds that were a few miles out to sea this Barn Owl flew towards the same hide.

This next batch of photos are from my local Little Tern colony. They are such energetic little birds, especially at this time of year. They seem to spend all day catching fish for their chicks.
The sunrises on the coast were stunning on the first couple of mornings. In the photo below the colony of Little Tern lift of the beach.
The east coast apart from Breydon Water is poor for waders, although you do see a good range of species flying along the coast. Here are a few of the commonest.
Away from the coast I visited Rush Hill Scrape. It is not a place you go to obtain close views of birds, mainly water birds but it has attracted a long list of rarities (not this time).
How many species can you see in the photo.

Fabulous barn owl pics and the little Terns truly are great characters.
