Bushy & Regent's Park

Bushy Park

On what was a glorious sunny day I spent most of it attending meetings. I did have a couple of jobs to attend to beforehand which enabled me to see a couple of interesting birds.

Common Buzzard: 2 were in trees in the Brewhouse meadow.
Kingfisher: one flew over Heron Pond and another was on the Longford River in the Brewhouse.
Skylark: 7 flew west over the Brewhouse Meadow.
Cetti's Warbler: one singing from scrub just north of Dukes Head Passage.
Siskin: 8 flew towards Canal Plantation.

Regent's Park

Water Rail: only one was seen in the Rail Ditch in area 2. It is likely the other bird is still present there or in the reed bed opposite.
Fieldfare: 12 flew through.
Redwing: small numbers can be seen or heard most days.
Cetti's Warbler: one still singing from reeds or scrub by the Rail Ditch.
Blackcap: one in the Rail Ditch reed bed.

A beautiful cool sunny start to the day
