Regent's Park
Things are a little quiet at the moment but a great record that I missed on 8th was that of a red head Goosander that flew west around 8.00am.
Other news:
Common Shelduck: a pair are still present.
European Wigeon: a pair can be seen by the south eastern side of area 8 although they do fly in and feed with the collection birds.
Common Teal: a drake commutes between the main lake and the quiet north eastern end of the lake, here he mixes with the collection teal.
Tawny Owl: birds can be heard at the top of Chester Road and in area 40.
Little Owl: one bird is still present in the smaller of the two Poplar trees at the eastern end of area 31. It has been keeping a low profile due to the chilly wind.
Water Rail: 3 birds are still present.
Redwing: there are a handful of birds present.
Siskin: at least 5 are in and around area 31.
Bushy Park
Today I was working in here and was able to check the birds on or near Heron Pond.
These included;
Little Egret: 2 birds present.
Stonechat: a female was on the northern side of the pond.
Little Egret
Grey Heron
Mute Swan
Stonechat
Pied Wagtail
Black-headed Gulls and Jackdaw are startled in the Diana car park
