Regent's Park 22nd-23rd March

Regent's Park

22nd March
Kestrel: a 2nd female caused some frustration in area 32.
Common Snipe: one appeared to drop down into the Wetland Pen at 12.50pm, I was on the south side of the lake and couldn't find it when I looked later.
Water Rail: one was in the Wetland Pen.
Collared Dove: 3(1&2) birds flew west before 9.00am.
Cetti's Warbler: one in area 34.
Reed Bunting: the female was still in the Wetland Pen

23rd March
Black-headed and Common Gull: there are very few of these species left on the lake. There have been some very high flocks heading east. It is a good time to pick up something of interest.
Meadow Pipit: 2 birds flew south at 9.20am.

Everything was looking rosy for the pair in area 32.

That was until a 2nd female turned up mid morning.

This female hybrid dropped in at lunchtime.
