Regent's Park 25th to 30th
The weather patterns for bringing migrants into the park didn't improve in the last week of April. There were reports of a couple of Common Whitethroats, neither stayed. The odd House Martin passed through but those from our nearby dwindling colonies hadn't arrived, 2 turned up on 2nd May. Great crested and Little Grebe's are finding it hard to find a suitable nest site, the former that were nesting by the Bandstand Island have lost their eggs, boat users or coots the most likely candidates for the loss.
