Norfolk 9th to 10th December
The weekend started cold but sunny with cloud arriving around mid-day on the 9th. I awoke the following morning to see that the snow that had been forecast hadn't arrived, instead we had a wet morning followed by very grey skies in the afternoon.
The star bird of the weekend was a Little Auk that bombed north on the 11th while I checked out the Snow Buntings.
Below are some photos from the weekend.
Pink-footed Geese
Turnstone
Oystercatcher
Sanderling
Snow Buntings
Happisburgh
This Kingfisher headed out to sea but then had second thoughts.
Glaucous Gull 1st winter
Purple Sandpiper
This is a test for those who like staring at gulls, does your ID skills agree with mine? comments
