Four days in Norfolk 5th to 8th April
Yet again the weather didn't really play ball, it was bright when we drove up on the 5th, the 6th was sunny or bright for most of the day but there was a really cold wind blowing. The next 2 days were overcast with rain and mist, not really what I or the migrants wanted. Below are a few subjects that I did manage to photograph.
When birds like these Great Tits have a squabble they can easy become part of the local Sparrowhawks lunch.

Black Redstarts on and around Happisburgh bowling green. There were 3 birds on the 5th but that dropped to one the following day.

Dersingham Bog has changed considerably from when I first used to visit it with my parents. It was more wooded and covered in much more Rhododendron. It was and is still good for Nightjar during the summer as well as roding Woodcocks. It was also a good place to see Goshawks, sadly this is no longer the case.
Ringed Plovers were displaying on the coast

Looking for Bitterns from Bittern Hide but was out of luck. The skies from here had
had good numbers of Marsh Harrier, the odd Red Kite and a few Common Buzzards.
Walking back to my car I spotted a pair of courting Common Cranes, a loan bird caused them to take to the air.
Brown Hare's on the Horsey Straight
A heard of Red Deer are much darker than the one's in Richmond Park
