Lesser spotted Woodpecker
After a relatively quiet spring with the exception of the Honey Buzzard that I bumped into on a damp morning at the end of May, this news was most welcome. The Lesser spots were still feeding young up until 8th June and hopefully the young fledged successfully and were not predated upon. However with the number of Great spotted Woodpeckers and corvid members in the park there is a high possibility that this may have happened.
