Tony,
Interested to see you had noted a Collared Dove, thus indicating its relative rarity. I used to bird Regents Park regularly from 84-95. When we first arrived in the area, Collared Doves were regular around the church at the north end of the park (St Mary's?), and then disappeared in about 1987, and was not seen again until June 93.
Are they still non-resident?
And what's the current status of House Sparrow in the park? - they were clearly in decline when we left the area in Nov 95.
