There has been one feral drake pintail
knocking about all winter. It is occasionally joined by 2or 3 other birds. The Kesrel nest in that area, only this week we cleaned out thier box. Did you connect with the Brambling?
The best way to think of the ducks on the main lake is that they are all wild. The only ones that are likely to be either feral or pinioned are RC Pochards, Pintail, less than 15 Gadwall, more than one wigeon. There are 2 Redheads on the main lake and a pair of Feruginous Ducks.

The best place to see Sparrowhawks is either around area 1 or sitting on the benches in the rose wheel in QMG looking SE, they are best heard and seen in the first couple of hours after dawn. But at this time of year you dont have to wait to long to see them.
On the parks bird walks we normally see them.
